ATOMIUM
The Atomium, a cross between sculpture and architecture, is an important monument from the past with futuristic allures and the symbol of Expo 58, is a place that naturally shows great interest for design. After the retrospective exhibition "Willy Van der Meeren" and the exhibition on playful Modernism, the Atomium will put contemporary design in the limelight in partnership with Design September and will do so through designs by young artists. From September to November Intersections. Belgian Design will unravel the creation of contemporary design. The creative works by Nicolas Destino, Jean-François D'Or and Linde Herman serve as the guiding thread throughout the voyage of discovery in the world of contemporary design. Where do they get their inspiration and interest? From prototype to sale, what process runs through an object from creation to production? This exhibition Intersections. Belgian Design tries to give a playful and educational answer to all those questions.
