Your Job
Together with your manager, it is your mission to develop and implement the strategic direction to drive the E- Commerce business in the EMEA Region; to balance multiple competing priorities and maintain current profitability while establishing foundation for growth; to drive the execution of the most compelling online assortments and merchandising initiatives and deliver on line sales and margin plan. You are accountable for business results, profit & losses and executing key initiatives.
Your accountabilities include:
1) Frame and map opportunities based on historical results & current trends to maximize sales.
- Develop strategies to deliver financial plans (sales, margin, contribution, inventory turns)
- Analyze sales and productivity of items and categories to communicate results and to create action plans
- Translate the merchandise process and marketing calendar to the e-shop
- Utilize analytical tools (Google Analytics) to track user behaviour on website and web store, and to track online marketing initiatives with an eye toward revenue impact and cost-effectiveness
2) Manage all financial aspects of e-commerce related initiatives including sales goals, supplier invoice management, reconciliation and review of the budget and inventory management.
- Partner with Finance, Marketing and Planning Department to forecast weekly/monthly sales, margins and review financial reporting
3) Oversee channel development strategies, architecture and infrastructure requirements to ultimately fulfil E- Commerce business strategy:
- Develop and ensure execution of in-country strategic plans in EMEA to fully optimize use of E- Commerce channel. Ensure that they properly reflect strategic positioning and are executed on time to a high quality.
- Manage web store including functionality updates and merchandising.
4) Oversee web store P&L and function as general manager of web store to drive revenue
5) Manage concept development, strategizing, planning, implementation, and coordinating of E - Commerce initiatives:
- Keep current with the latest E-commerce trends and technology to keep the site at the forefront and ahead of competition.
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and spearhead overall strategic positioning to follow industry trends and to keep a "finger-on-the-pulse" of the customer base and competition.
6) Collaborate with respective departments on the integration of marketing, online, sales and advertising to develop multi-channel strategies and increase brand/product awareness:
- Drive qualified traffic to the website through search engine marketing, affiliate marketing, shopping portals and other online programs.
- Increase online shopping via email marketing and loyalty programs.
- Lead web merchandising, design and development teams.
- Collaborate with internal IT, design agencies, the marketing department and the implementation partner on architecture and back-end solutions for enhanced site functionalities
- Oversee activities related to content development and promotion management.
- Manage ongoing updates coordinating with in-house IT and design staff and outside resources (hosting and managed-services providers)
7) Partner with third-party vendors to identify and apply solutions for customer acquisition, conversion and website optimization.
Your Profile:
- BA or BS degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Merchandising, Information Services or related field
- Solid track record in building a successful on-line business and proven experience in implementing a strategy in E- Commerce business
- Experience in managing a diverse and creative group of individuals
Experience developing performance metrics
- Experience with successfully managing large department budgets
- Experience with web/catalogue design
- Familiarity with web utilities, graphics programs, desktop applications and strong understanding of internet content management (Word Press)is a mus
- Basic knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and database management systems
- Knowledge of Magento is a plus
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, any other European language is an asset.
