Data - from PoC to production: in people we trust

Big Data, Data Science, becoming a data driven company, … Belgian companies are starting to try out the cool stuff. Either by using of the shelf solutions or by trying to implement their own open source based solution. Many initiatives however don’t grow beyond their proof of concept phase. Either ending up in a PoC solution that keeps living in a far from ideal set-up or worse ending up in the trash, even when it has proven value.

How to proceed to an operational analytics environment? It’s about convincing executives of the (need for and) capabilities of the data department, convincing business to use the outcome of what might go beyond their understanding and convincing your customers to trust you using their data. All in all, it’s about trusting your data geeks. So how do we do that?
