Giovanni Briganti is a medical doctor from the Université libre de Bruxelles, with a PhD from the University of Mons, and a master’s degree in total quality management from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Mons. After completing a postdoc research term at Harvard, Giovanni Briganti took academic positions at three French-speaking universities. He lectures at the medical faculties of the University of Mons, the University of Liège, and the Université libre de Bruxelles. Specialist in Artificial Intelligence in health (theme of his doctoral work), Giovanni Briganti has taken over the coordination of the federal AI4Health working group within AI4Belgium, and coordinates numerous research and innovation projects in the field of artificial intelligence and digital health. At the University of Mons, he holds the Chair of AI and Digital Medicine, offering the world’s first compulsory AI courses in the medical curriculum.
